Let me guess...

You’ve got players who look ready in practice, but one strikeout, one error, or one run by the other team changes the way they carry themselves. Heads drop, shoulders sag, and suddenly you’re trying to get your team back into a game that isn’t over.

Your hitter says, “I can’t hit her.” Your fielder is worried about making another error, and somebody in the dugout is talking about how good the other pitcher is. You’ve told them to stay positive, shake it off, and pick each other up, but the same Losing Language keeps coming back.

You’re tired of supplying every bit of belief, energy, and enthusiasm yourself, because you know these players have more in them than they’re bringing into the game.

I believe they do, too, and I’m going to give you the words to bring it out. Instead of another talk about having a better attitude, we’re going to replace Losing Language with the Words of Winners and teach your players to use them when they compete.

I wrote Words of Winners so you’ll know exactly what to say when a player starts talking herself out of the moment, and so she can learn to give herself that direction without waiting for you.

LEADS TO

ENERGY. ENTHUSIASM. WINNING.

Here’s what I’m going to show you.

Turn self-criticism into self-coaching.

Give a player the words to reset after a mistake and get back to competing instead of taking the last play into the next one.

When the game gets hard, give your team the words to win.

Replace the talk about being behind, feeling nervous, and fearing the opponent with words that direct players toward what to do next.

Build a standard that belongs to the whole team.

Teach your captains, starters, and quiet players the same language, so they can lead themselves and bring a teammate back into the game.

Blurred preview of the easy-to-share replacement-language pages for every player on your team.
EASY TO GIVE TOEVERY PLAYER.
Print the replacement pages and give each player a copy.

Read it in 15 minutes.
Put it to work at your next practice.

You’ll get the complete 20-page digital book, including all 90 Losing Language / Words of Winners replacements, the coaching instructions for using them, a daily-use phrase page, and answers to the situations that come up when you start.

Print the replacement pages and give a copy to every player, so your entire team has the same words in front of them. You don’t have to teach 90 phrases at once; start with the Losing Language you’re already hearing and put the replacement into the next rep.

When we change the language of your team, we’ll change its attitude, its energy, and its enthusiasm, and we’ll change the outcome of your games. Your players already have words in their heads when they step onto the field, so let’s make them the Words of Winners.
